The Buffalo Bills are coming off a dominant performance against the New York Jets, winning 30-10 in a game in which they didn't allow more than 100 yards passing and less than 200 total yards of offense. The most noteworthy portion of this game, though, was Josh Allen taking a hit to his nose that immediately led to blood gushing from his nose. He left the game for two plays before coming back in. The nose was black and blue and had notable swelling.
Buffalo Bills right tackle Spencer Brown had jokes when he was asked about the injury to his quarterback on Monday, taking a small jab at Joey Bosa in the process.
"It's definitely bigger," Brown said. "Definitely bigger. He looks like Bosa now."
After a quick chuckle, Brown expressed the belief that Allen will be fine.
"He's gonna be fine, he says he can breathe through it. Looks cool, though."
Allen himself was having some fun after the game, going up to the team's social media camera to check himself and see how his nose looked before giving his trademark "Go Bills." Allen also added after the game that he'll be fine.
"We can breathe, so it's good," Allen said via Matt Parrino. "I pulled [the ball] when I probably should have handed it off. I tried to throw it and I saw him push, decided to tuck it. I don't know what hit me, if it was a knee, a hand, it was somebody. [A] helmet just kind of came down right on the bridge of my nose and just started leaking."
The Bills have a short week, as they'll take on the Miami Dolphins in Buffalo on Thursday night.
