As TNA world champion, Trick Willy claimed that he was too good to step foot in the city of Minneapolis, MN, which was the location of television tapings. Turns out that was a sneaky lie to ambush Mike Santana on Impact (Sep. 11, 2025).
Santana was scheduled for action in a tune-up match. As he made his usual entrance through the crowd, Williams entered in stealth mode in the darkness to attack Santana. Security intervened before any real damage could done.
Backstage, Santana delivered a passionate promo about bringing home the TNA World Championship at Bound For Glory on October 12. Santana underestimated Williams, and that will never happen again. Santana will whoop that Trick.
That was a smooth move for Trick Willy to be a sneaky liar for the surprise ambush. The ball is in Santana’s court now to see if he returns to NXT to mess with Williams in this chess match.
