“To be honest” – John Terry drops his true verdict on Enzo Maresca as Chelsea boss

Former Chelsea centre back John Terry has dropped his true verdict on Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca so far.
It’s always great to here from John Terry. I’ve always believed it to be a real shame that he looks like he wont be having a career as a coach any time soon, I really do think he would make a good one.

He’s also been questioning Chelsea’s recruitment this week, or at least one aspect of it. Terry wants to see Chelsea make more marquee signings, and I’m sure there will be a few Blues fans agreeing with him there as well.
The former Blues centre back is not the only former player to be questioning Chelsea’s recruitment this summer. Former winger Joe Cole believes the club could have still done with a new goalkeeper after suggesting Robert Sanchez is the weakest link in their quest to win the Champions League this season.
I think both Joe Cole and John Terry have raised some good points with comments made here, but both of them have always appeared to be strong backers of Enzo Maresca though.
Terry on Maresca

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT this week, Terry said on Enzo Maresca:
“I’ve been very impressed with him to be honest. He’s very inviting with me as I’m obviously working in the academy.
“I get to see him work and he’s very personal with the players. I think the biggest thing for any manager this year is being close to the players and he seems to have a really good connection with the younger players.
“He’s very young himself. He understands the players, he understands what they want and he’s certainly getting the best out of them at the moment.”
