Top-35 overall recruit Abdou Toure down to 3 schools, sets commitment date

Abdou Toure, a four-star prospect in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to three, he told Rivals. Moving forward, the the 6-foot-5 senior of Notre Dame High School (CT) will consider Arkansas, Providence, and UConn. He will announce his commitment on Friday, October 3rd.

Toure, a native of West Haven, Connecticut, is ranked as the No. 31 overall player in the class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 14 small forward and No. 1 player in Connecticut.

Toure previously considered offers from Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, and Oregon.

This past season as a junior, he averaged 25.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. Toure was also the Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year in 2024-25.

Toure on his game + what he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with Rivals, Abdou Toure broke down his game.

“I’d say my game has developed into more stronger, being able to put the ball on the floor more, and really consistent shooting,” Toure tells On3. “I can really do everything and try to win. That’s all I do, try to win the game. I’d say I really watch a lot of Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander) and Ant Edwards. I watch Ant Edwards with his mentality and his physicality, the way he gets to the rim, the way he finishes above the rim. And Shai, with his pace.”

He also knows what he wants in a college program.

“I want to go somewhere where I could just be myself and play my game. My game is fast-paced, downhill, and I play defense. I want to go somewhere I can develop and get to the NBA.”
