WNBA playoff schedule: Aces take 2-1 lead over Fever

Tuesday brought an instant classic in the WNBA semifinals.

The No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx in overtime 89-83.

Per ESPN Research, it was just the second 20-point rally on the road in WNBA playoff history.

On the other side of the bracket, the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces routed the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever 90-68.

The WNBA semifinals is a best-of-five with a 2-2-1 setup. The higher seed will host Games 1, 2 and 5.

For the first time, the WNBA Finals -- which are scheduled to begin Oct. 3 -- will expand to a best-of-seven series (2-2-1-1-1) in which the higher seed would host Games 1, 2, 5 and 7.

We'll update each series as games are played and each round as matchups are decided.
