Paige Bueckers’ Dallas Wings Announce Knee Fracture on Monday

Even with Paige Bueckers back in the lineup, the Dallas Wings have continued to struggle to begin the 2025 WNBA season, falling to 1-11 and last place in the league standings.

Bueckers missed a total of four games with a concussion, followed by an illness. And the Wings went 0-4 in those contests.

Still, the former UConn star is potentially on pace to win WNBA Rookie of the Year, averaging 17.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. However, the Wings could be without another key player for a while.

Forward Maddy Siegrist has been a key piece for Dallas over the past two years. This season, she is averaging 9.4 points on 43.3% shooting and 5.2 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game.

However, ahead of Friday's loss against the Las Vegas Aces, the Wings ruled Siegrist out due to a knee injury. Further testing proved that the injury was more serious as Siegrist had fractured her knee on June 11 against the Phoenix Mercury.

The Wings announced the injury news on social media on Monday afternoon.

"Injury update: @DallasWings forward Maddy Siegrist has been diagnosed with an anterolateral tibial plateau fracture in her right knee," Dallas Wings PR wrote on X. "The 6-2 forward sustained the injury in the June 11 game at the Phoenix Mercury."

The Wings also revealed that Siegrist's injury does not require surgery and she will be able to return this season.

"Siegrist underwent subsequent testing to confirm the injury while Dallas was on the road late last week," Dallas Wings PR added in a separate post. "The injury does not require surgery; Siegrist is expected to make a full recovery and return to the Wings lineup later this season."

Dallas will look to end a seven-game losing streak on Tuesday, hosting Kate Martin and the Golden State Valkyries at 8:00 p.m. ET.
