Aaron Judge continues his march toward winning the American League MVP award in consecutive seasons. Judge, 33, has been on an offensive tear since Game No. 1 of the season.
Judge's first hit of the year came when the New York Yankees welcomed the Milwaukee Brewers into Yankee Stadium on Opening Day (March 27). Judge sent a pitch from Brewers reliever, Jared Koenig, for a double in the bottom of the seventh inning during a 4-2 victory for the Yankees.
Fast forward to Game No. 71, on Monday night, Judge carried a .378 batting average into a home-matchup with the Los Angeles Angels.
Judge turned around a first-inning pitch from Angels starting pitcher, Jose Soriano, for a single. The hit didn't amount to any runs scored, however, it was a milestone for Judge during his impressive 2025 Major League Baseball season.
MLB was quick to recognize Judge's accomplishment, announcing that Judge had become the first player to reach 100 hits on the season.
Judge is seeking AL MVP No. 3 of his career (2022 and 2024). Barring injury, while subjective, Judge is on pace to runaway win the award this season.
Judge leads the AL in hits (100), home runs (26), RBIs (60), runs scored (65), batting average (.377), on-base % (.473), and slugging % (.756).

While Judge is running away with the AL lead in the majority of the statistics listed above, he holds just a two-hit lead over Athletics shortstop, Jacob Wilson.
Heading into Monday night, Wilson has 98 hits on the season and is in action against the Houston Astros.
Judge's next opportunity to add to his hit total will come on Tuesday, inside Yankee Stadium, at 7:05 p.m. EDT.
