The Michigan Wolverines have a quarterback duel on their hands headed toward the fall football season with Bryce Underwood joined by Mikey Keene and Jadyn Davis in the team's 2025-26 quarterback room.
The Wolverines' QB play was spotty at times during its Spring Game in Ann Arbor this past April, a situation not lost on the Wolverines' staff as they hit the recruiting trail this offseason.
On Monday, the Wolverines received a commitment from a player few saw coming who was previously ranked among the top 20 QBs in the nation prior to giving his pledge to the Miami Hurricanes in 2021.

Jake Garcia, who joined the Miami Hurricanes in 2021 and played two seasons in Miami before transferring to East Carolina, where he played last season, has joined the Wolverines according to Pete Nakos of On3.com.
Nakos said that Garcia has signed with coach Sherrone Moore's team, officially adding more competition to an already talented QB crop.
Garcia threw for 1,426 yards, 8 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season with the Pirates. He was a member of the same QB class that included Quinn Ewers, formerly of Texas, former Wolverines national champion JJ McCarthy and Illinois QB Luke Altmyer among other well known players.
"Nice depth piece," one fan said.
"Bro switches schools more than I switch girlfriends," another fan said with a yawning emoji.
"Niiiiice," another said with a fire emoji.
"Cold feet on Bryce already yikes," another added.
"Long time Wolverine. I'm pumped," another fan said, describing the importance of veterans in the QB room.
