A promising academy star at Liverpool is getting closer to the first team, and he's the son of the club's academy director.
The Reds' academy has had a massive change in fortunes since Alex Inglethorpe arrived at the club. He's the academy director and under his tenure Liverpool have produced a plethora of exciting young talent.

Most notable are the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Conor Bradley as well as Raheem Sterling, Caoimhin Kelleher, Jarell Quansah and Tyler Morton.
Inglethorpe has brought in a lot of new coaches during his time at the club, and he's introduced some strict rules for players on scholarship deals in order to create discipline and cohesion within the team.
His role has allowed the club's academy to flourish and become one of the best in England when it comes to promoting players into the first-team and also selling them on for profit.
Now there is a really exciting generation of young players coming through at U18 level. The likes of Joshua Abe, Erik Farkas and La'more Forrester have all caught the eye this season.
But we are also approaching very interesting territory.
Inglethorpe's own son, Finn, has also made a breakthrough into the U18 team, and he's quickly become one of the stars of the team.
The 16-year-old has started the season with five goal contributions in five games for Liverpool's U18 side in the U18 Premier League.
In total, Inglethorpe junior is averaging a goal or assist every 55 minutes for the young Reds.
A striker who is a typical poacher and thrives inside the box, Inglethorpe looks like a really promising talent. He knows how to find space and to arrive in the right spaces at the perfect time.
But at the same time, he can also drop back and link-up with his teammates.
This makes him a real nuisance for opposition defenders and his opponents are already struggling at U18 level.
With Liverpool's U21 side having a striker crisis as Jayden Danns and Will Wright both have injuries, it's becoming increasingly likely that Inglethorpe could soon even earn a promotion.
Right now, only Joshua Sonni-Lambie and early Figueroa are ahead of him in the pecking order at the academy.

If he continues his great run of form, he's going to be hard to ignore and a promotion could be on the way.
It's very early days but based on his start at U18 level, Inglethorpe definitely has the potential to join the first-team soon.
Slot will promote young players who deserve it based on their form. Given there isn't that much depth in the no.9 position at the club, that is an area where the first-team coaches will be looking towards the academy and Inglethorpe will be on their list.
If he does get an opportunity it will be quite an unprecedented situation.
The academy director's son playing for the first-team is not something that happens often. Right now, though, Inglethorpe is proving that he's at the club based on merit rather than because of any nepotism.
The fact that he's also an England U15 international should also put an end to any of those conversations.
