Cooper Flagg’s Wonderful Pre-Season Continues

It must be nice being Cooper Flagg. He got to go to the Rider Cup this weekend, where he met NBA legend Michael Jordan. And he has Jayson Tatum singing his praises too: when ESPN asked him what rookies he was excited to see, he said “Number one would have to be my man Cooper Flagg.” They’re both Duke guys obviously, but still, how cool is that?

One anonymous assistant expects Flagg to be a “top 25” player and that ‘[h]e’ll be a borderline All-Star and the conversation will be about whether he should make it as a second-year guy.”

Another assistant said “You don’t go to Team USA [last summer] and do what he did and not have a chance [at being the best in the NBA].”
