Chelsea are not in the best of form at the moment, following consecutive defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Brighton in the Premier League.
What’s more disappointing is that the Blues went down to ten men in both of these games, which significantly hampered their chances of winning.
While Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is believed to have the backing of the board despite the disappointing results, certain sections of the fans are already calling for him to be replaced just six games into the domestic season.
Now, fans and pundits from all over the world have started to share their opinions on whether the Italian manager should be replaced or not.
Meanwhile, former England internationals Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have also delivered their verdict on the speculation surrounding Maresca’s future.
Both former players believe that the Italian manager should not be replaced in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.

Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer react to speculation of Enzo Maresca's possible sacking
Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, both Lineker and Shearer agreed that it would be wrong to replace Maresca on the back of two disappointing results in the Premier League, given everything he has achieved in the recent past.

Lineker said, “It’s funny football isn’t it. Maresca is apparently now under pressure. He won two trophies recently, and he’s got Palmer out. Surely not? He’s just won the Club World Cup.”
Shearer added, “He was probably expected to win the Conference League with Chelsea, but there weren’t too many people that tipped Chelsea to win the Club World Cup, and he did win it.
“He’s lost two games in a row, and he’s lost them because essentially both times he’s gone down to 10 men, and we know how difficult that it is.”
“Because of it being Chelsea, you’re not going to get too much sympathy. Should he be under pressure? In my opinion, no, because he’s lost two games, but you know when you sign up to that football club that anything can happen.
“You know the rules when you sign up to Chelsea, that can happen to you. Two losses and you’re under huge pressure is madness in football, but doesn’t surprise me at Chelsea.”
The only way Maresca can ease the pressure on himself is by returning to winning ways as soon as possible, and his first opportunity to do so is against Benfirca in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
