Everything we know so far about Millie Bobby Brown's 1st romantic comedy 'Just Picture It'

Millie Bobby Brown is stepping out of the Upside Down and into a love story. The Stranger Things actress — who is ending her run as the telekinetic teenager Eleven when Season 5 of the Netflix series returns — is set to star in Just Picture It, an upcoming romantic comedy for Netflix, which she’ll also produce.

The production company behind the project, Brown’s own PCMA Productions, as well as Netflix, just teased their first photo from the set in a Friday Instagram post. The new behind-the-scenes pic shows Brown looking cozy with onscreen love interest The Fabelmans and Saturday Night actor Gabriel LaBelle.

Brown’s Florence by Mills fashion label commented, “can’tttt wait” on the photo, while Brown’s real-life husband, Jake Bongiovi, with whom Brown just adopted a baby, shared some raised hands emoji on the PCMA Productions post in celebration.

That wasn’t the only sneak peek fans received this week. On Friday, Brown posted an Instagram video of herself and LaBelle hamming it up in a photo booth. The words “Meet Bea and Sam. We are in production” pop up at the end of the video. “Ready or not, here we come,” Brown teased in the caption.

This movie marks Brown’s first true romantic comedy — a departure from work like Stranger Things and other projects, like her action-adventure Enola Holmes series, which Brown also produces. Here’s what else we know about the film.

What is Just Picture It about?

If you like your romantic comedies with a touch of magical realism, you’ll appreciate the premise of Just Picture It. The film, directed by Lee Toland Krieger and written by Jesse Lasky, stars Brown and LaBelle as Bea and Sam, two college students. When their phones glitch, they’re shocked to find a photo of them taken 10 years into the future, where they are a happily married couple with children.

Who else stars in Just Picture It?

While Brown and LaBelle are the stars of the upcoming rom-com, the rest of the cast is also stacked. Per Deadline, Amrit Kaur, Julian Dennison, Ben Jackson Walker, Brec Bassinger, Idina Menzel, and Margo Martindale are rounding out the comedy, with character details still to be disclosed.

What else is Millie Bobby Brown up to?

The new mom has a busy year ahead. In addition to her role in Stranger Things, the actress is releasing the third installment of her Netflix film series Enola Holmes. While Enola Holmes does not have a release date just yet, it’s expected sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.

Brown is also slated to adapt her novel Nineteen Steps — set during World War II and centering on a young woman who survives the Bethnal Green Tube disaster — into a film for Netflix.

Brown is also reportedly in talks to star in Gia Coppola’s film Perfect, in which the star would portray gymnast Kerri Strug, who took home gold at the Olympics despite having an injured ankle.
