Newly promoted Betway Premiership side Durban City have announced the signing of Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns.
While his Downs contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, the deal is believed to be a season-long loan with an option to make the move permanent.
Mashego signed for Sundowns from the now-relegated Cape Town City as one of the highly rated full-backs in the country ahead of the 2022/23 season.
During his stay at Chloorkop, he made 45 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal in the process.
Moreover, the 29-year-old lifted three league titles and the inaugural African Football League [AFL] with Masandawana.
However, Mashego has seen little game time in recent times and has further fallen down the pecking order under head coach Miguel Cardoso.
The left-back featured in 13 games last season, with most of his appearances coming in the Nedbank Cup and the MTN8.
His lack of game time has been fueled by the recent signing of Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC, making competition for a starting spot even rife.
