Blue Jay boys soccer, volleyball teams drop Thursday night

BISMARCK — The Jamestown High School soccer team came up one goal short on Thursday.

The Blue Jays dropped 1-0 to Bismarck High to move to 5-7-1 overall and 5-7 in the Western Dakota Association. Head coach Brandi Harty and her crew will be back in action on Oct. 2 at Bismarck Century at 5:30 p.m.

Bismarck High's Brennen Wald scored the Demons lone goal in the 56th minute. Blue Jay goalkeeper Evan Harty made two saves.

Volleyball gives Century a fight

Head coach Sara Hegerle and the JHS volleyball team came out guns ablazing on Thursday.

Unfortunately, it didn't last until the end.

The Blue Jays fell 3-1 to Bismarck Century to drop their record to 5-3 in the WDA. Final stats were unavailable when The Jamestown Sun went to press.

Jamestown will be back in action on Sept. 30 against Mandan. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
