Cruzeiro is getting closer to securing a spot in the 2026 Copa Libertadores.

According to calculations by the Mathematics Department of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) gathered by Central da Toca, the Raposa has a 99.86% chance of competing in the continental tournament next season.

In UFMG's projection, 67 points are needed to mathematically secure a spot in the Libertadores. With 50 points, Cruzeiro has reached 74.6% of this goal, demonstrating a solid and consistent performance in this mission.

Cruzeiro still has 14 more matches in the Brasileirão. To reach 67 points, they need five more wins and two draws, for example.

There are six home games and eight away games remaining.

Cruzeiro's next challenge will be against Vasco, at São Januário, on Saturday (27), at 6:30 PM.
