With both Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez seeing red during the closing moments of PSG’s feisty quarterfinal against Bayern, Luis Enrique will be forced to reshuffle the deck in defense for the semifinal clash. That opens the door for Lucas Beraldo to step into the spotlight alongside captain Marquinhos in the heart of the backline.
Ousmane Dembélé, still shaking off the rust from a recent injury, may be the only other regular starter in danger of missing out. The winger has made a pair of cameo appearances off the bench during the knockout rounds but remains a question mark for a full outing.
All eyes, however, will be on Achraf Hakimi. The flying right-back has been a man on a mission, delivering end product in each of his last three Club World Cup appearances. He notched an assist against Bayern and had already found the back of the net in the two matches before that.
