FANTASY LINEUP TIPS: Player Rankings | Week 3 Start-Sit | Week 3 Sleepers
Week 3 QB Busts
Kyler Murray, Cardinals at 49ers
Murray has a rough spot here against a revved up 49ers' defense with Robert Saleh leading Nick Bosa and a slew of active newcomers. San Francisco can keep the downfield passing in check and Fred Warner can be a big factor in containing tight end Trey McBride and Murray's running. - Vinnie Iyer
Bo Nix, Broncos at Chargers
Nix looked awful in Week 1 and awesome in Week 2. He's most likely going to look awful again this week, as the Chargers D has been solid. Folks in one-QB leagues must have a higher-floor (and absolutely higher-ceiling) option at their disposal. - Sloan Piva
Jared Goff, Lions at Ravens
Jared Goff was my pick for a bust last week, and well, that did not work out. However, Goff comes into Week 2 with a ton of buzz following his QB1 finish, and managers will feel forced to start him. But Goff goes into Baltimore on MNF to face a team he is 0-3 against in his career. Not only has Goff not won against the Ravens, but in all 3 games, he's never thrown for a TD against them either. Goff will come back down to earth in Week 3. - Griffin Missant
Week 3 RB Busts
Jordan Mason, Vikings vs. Bengals
Mason is in a full-blown split with Aaron Jones, making it tough to trust either back as the offense is in a funk, now with Carson Wentz set to start vs. Cincnnati. The Vikings will need to throw often to keep up with the Bengals' high-flying weapons, hurting the limited receiving Mason. - Vinnie Iyer
TreVeyon Henderson, Patriots vs. Steelers
Eleven touches for 51 yards in Week 1. Five touches for 40 yards in Week 2. With how awful Henderson has been as a blocker (he got called for holding three times last week), you simply cannot trust the rookie right now. This is a textbook example of how giving in to preseason hype can hurt you. - Sloan Piva
Tyrone Tracy Jr., Giants vs. Chiefs
All offseason, this was Tracy's backfield because of the injury to Cam Skattebo. However, it was clear in Week 2 that the Giants favored Skattebo as the lead back. Tracy had 9 total touches compared to Skattebo's 13. If you drafted Tracy, this was always on your mind, but this is too early to be taking the back seat to the rookie. This will, unfortunately, become a trend as the season goes on. In Week 3, the Giants take on the Chiefs on SNF, one of the hardest teams to run the ball against. - Griffin Missant

Week 3 WR Busts
Terry McLaurin, Commanders vs. Raiders
Scary Terry has not been good, showing rust early in the season as their big-play target with Deebo Samuel and Zach Ertz doing more intermediate damage. He will stay not being scary should Jayden Daniels miss the Raiders game. If Daniels plays, he still would be hard to trust for downfield production in the matchup. - Vinnie Iyer
Brian Thomas Jr., Jaguars vs. Texans
BTJ has been sophomore slumping in a major way, he now apparently has a wrist injury, and he's facing Derek Stingley Jr. in a divisional contest. Thomas getting scratched from this game might be a blessing, because the volatility would be massive if he gives it a go. - Sloan Piva
A.J. Brown, Eagles vs. Rams
While the target share drastically improved for Brown, the fantasy output still has not. This has been the problem that plagues those who decided to draft Brown. We know he's one of the more physically gifted WRs in the entire NFL, but that simply does not matter in fantasy. 5 catches for 27 yards is not even close to the level of production you need for a viable performance. The Eagles are too good at controlling the game, even when it seems close, like in Week 2. They're going to lean into their strengths and win games, which is what they should do. There is no way you should feel comfortable starting Brown in a game against the Rams; the Eagles are going to dominate. - Griffin Missant

Week 3 TE Busts
David Njoku, Browns vs. Packers
Njoku isn't doing what he used to do with Joe Flacco as the Browns are pushing more of a youth movement in their limited offense around Joe Flacco. The Packers won't help him get going, despite giving up a little to the tight end in the first two weeks. - Vinnie Iyer
Mark Andrews, Ravens vs. Lions
The veteran has fallen off the cliff, and he's slowly dropping toward the end of his career. He has two catches for seven total yards on the season, and it's not going to get better when Isaiah Likely returns from his foot injury. Cut bait now. - Sloan Piva
Colston Loveland, Bears vs. Cowboys
Many managers had hoped that drafted Loveland would result in the type of season Tyler Warren is having right now. It's quite perplexing that the Bears would draft Loveland at 10th overall just to not use him whatsoever. This sums up the Bears organization: they don't make a whole lot of sense. Even in a game where you are getting absolutely crushed by the Lions, you give your 1st round pick just 1 target? You need to avoid this until they figure it out. Don't necessarily drop Loveland, but you cannot play him in Week 3. - Griffin Missant
Week 3 D/ST Busts
Denver Broncos at Chargers
The Broncos are not getting it done against better offenses this season, as they struggled vs. the Colts after producting vs. the Titans. The Chargers' offense is hot and at home wiht Justin Herbert so pivot off Denver if you can for another week. - Vinnie Iyer
Baltimore Ravens vs. Lions
The Ravens surrendered 41 points to the Bills in Week 1 and then pounded out a terrible Browns team in Week 2. Baltimore's D/ST is 97-percent rostered, but I can't imagine it will produce fruitful results against a Lions team that just scored seven touchdowns against the Bears. - Sloan Piva
Chicago Bears vs. Cowboys
This is the easiest bust I've ever had to label. The Bears gave up a historic 4th quarter comeback to the J.J. McCarthy-led offense and then gave up 52 points to follow that up in Week 2. Now they take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, who just put up 40 points in the game prior. Yeah, I'll pass on that. - Griffin Missant
