Tom Brady gets heated with NSFW rant

Tom Brady did not hold back when discussing how he was counted out earlier in his career.

The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was discussing on Fox's The Herd on Thursday, September 11, how Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is developing with Colin Cowherd. Brady was discussing with The Herd host how quarterbacks are evaluated differently than before, with tougher evaluations in the second season in the league. 

Brady shared how he was looked at during the 2000 NFL Draft where he was looked at as "weak."

'"Tom Brady, too weak, couldn't stand in the pocket, if he gets hit he's gonna go down, lacks a really strong arm." That was kinda bulls**t,' Brady said, not holding back on daytime TV.

"But what I really understood: the mental, emotional part. I could bring a consistent, competitive, winning attitude to the game and to practice every day," he continued.

The discussion continued to strike a nerve with the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, where he dropped another curse word when sharing how young quarterbacks need to just keep their heads up and block out negativity. 

"You got PFF grading you every week... and now you go as a first-year quarterback, you barely know s---, and now everyone's telling you 'you suck' and it takes a while to re-gain your confidence. You lose your whole fanbase," Brady shared.

Brady retired from the NFL in 2022 after 22 seasons and is regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. He is currently the lead color commentator for Fox Sports' NFL broadcasts, which he began last season.

While the season has just started, the Bears still have time to regain momentum after their 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, September 8. Their next game is against the Detroit Lions at 1 pm ET.
