A high school football game in Arkansas abruptly ended due to a shooting in the stands.
The incident occurred during halftime of a game between Benton and North Little Rock, the home team. Benton was leading 24-7 when there was a report of a gunshot, with North Little Rock School District officials confirming the shooting occurred outside of the stadium on the visitor’s side.

The game was then canceled at that point.

“We are working closely with local authorities and will provide updates as additional information becomes available.”
