Texas WR Ryan Wingo Gets Stefon Diggs Treatment During Viral Trend

You have to have a little fun sometimes, right?

Several Texas football players such as Colin Simmons, Anthony Hill Jr., Ryan Wingo, Jaylon Guilbeau, Jordan Washington and Kaliq Lockett recently appeared in a viral trend on social media. The players were asked which teammate would they not allow to date their daughter.

Many may remember this trend from the NFL when numerous Minnesota Vikings players chose wide receiver Stefon Diggs as the one player they would not want to date their daughter.

In the Longhorns version of the trend, wide receiver Ryan Wingo was the most popular name mentioned. Other names mentioned included Colin Simmons, Christian Clark and Warren Roberson.

Wingo is in line to be one of Texas' top receiving options this season. As a true freshman in 2024, he recorded 29 receptions for 472 yards and two touchdowns. Wingo added on 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

As a recruit, he was ranked the No. 7 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 overall prospect in Missouri for the 2024 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. 

He has quickly earned the respect of several of Texas' top playmakers, including quarterback phenom Arch Manning and pass rusher Colin Simmons. Both Manning and Simmons recently attended one of Wingo's camps in his hometown.

The Longhorns will kick off the season against Ohio State in Columbus on Aug. 30.
