Steph Curry Expects A Tough Series Against The Timberwolves

The final series of the second round is set, as the Golden State Warriors will be playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This will be another blockbuster matchup, which will include a duel of superstars between Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry.

The Warriors face a quick turnaround. Steve Kerr's team finished the series on Sunday and will start the second round on Tuesday night at Target Center.

This will be another exciting postseason series because it is a fun clash of styles. Curry and Edwards are the headliners, but having some storylines involving Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert makes this matchup intriguing.

Both teams are familiar with each other after playing four games against each other in the 2024-25 regular season. However, most of those games were the previous versions of both teams because the Timberwolves were much better in the second half, while the Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler at the deadline.

Curry Has Respect For The Timberwolves

Ahead of the series, Steph Curry knows he will be playing in another tough matchup. The Warriors had a hard time against the Houston Rockets in seven games, but this time, they will face a tougher test in the in-form Timberwolves.

Minnesota's players are at the peak of their confidence after beating a Los Angeles Lakers team led by Luka Doncic and LeBron James. Now they are playing against stars like Steph, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green, that is extra motivation. 

"Mission accomplished. Step 1. We got an incredibly tough Minnesota team waiting, so excited for the challenge," Steph said after Game 7. "My mind is fried right now. I know what Ant is, of course Rudy with his 20-20 game. We haven't seen them in a long time, I just know they're gonna bring the best out of us. It's going to be a challenge, starting on the road again. Thankfully, we got life, that's all we wanted."

The Timberwolves Will Be Ready For the Challenge

Now that the series is confirmed, this will be another series people will love watching. With big personalities like Ant and Draymond on either side, it will be a chippy series. 

Edwards himself has been waiting for this matchup for a long time. He wants to silence Green for his trash talk, which could be the motivation Ant needs to stand out in the series. 

It will be hard to pick a favorite between the two teams because they are on a different level since they met in the first half of the season. Rest assured that Chris Finch has prepared his team for this matchup, while Edwards, Randle, and the Timberwolves will want to perform at their peak again.
