Should Steelers go all in for Dolphins' Tyreek Hill?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a good mood after Aaron Rodgers helped lead the team to a Week 1 win over the New York Jets.

Given how good Rodgers looked (yes, it is only one game), and the fact that the Steelers might be a good team this year, could the franchise look to say, someone like Tyreek Hill, who seems disgruntled in Miami, and see if they can lure him to the AFC North?

CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin has named the Steelers as a potential option for Hill if things go south in Miami, and with DK Metcalf and Hill, Pittsburgh would be going all-in on 2025 for Rodgers.

Is it a smart move? Depending on how you look at it, possibly, but Hill wouldn't come cheap due to his contract, which must be considered.

According to Over The Cap, a trade now would see the Dolphins save $14.9 million in cap savings and only have a little over $12 million in dead money. As for Pittsburgh, Hill has a cap hit of $27 million, and with Pittsburgh having $8.6 million in cap room, some wheeling and dealing would need to be done.

But Hill to the Steelers? It isn't the worst idea.

Do Steelers need Tyreek Hill?

Considering the offense scored 34 points and Rodgers threw four touchdown passes, we aren't sure if it is a pressing need; however, if Miami makes Hill available, it would be foolish for the Steelers not to at least pick up the phone.

Now, whether the Dolphins would want to trade Hill in the conference is one thing, so that has to be factored in, and as for Pittsburgh, they might only have Rodgers for one season, and if it genuinely believes that this is the year it could win the Super Bowl, then have at it.

Granted, it would be a costly exercise, but with Rodgers at the helm, and all the chips pushed into the middle of the table, Hill could be the missing piece for the offense.
