Should I drop Mark Andrews in fantasy? Outlook for Ravens' TE involves Isaiah Likely's injury

Mark Andrews had a quiet Week 1 for the Baltimore Ravens, that much is true.

One catch from a guy drafted to be a starting tight end in fantasy football is no fun.

But that's the nature of TE, generally. Players aren't quite as consistent unless they're the top one or two guys in a given season.

Chiefs star Travis Kelce, for example, had just two catches in Week 1, but he happened to be left wide open for a touchdown on one of them to salvage his otherwise quiet day.

Andrews is also out there with no Isaiah Likely, his TE counterpart who sometimes siphons away numbers but is also another threat for defenses to contend with.

Should I drop Mark Andrews in fantasy?

No. No. No. Don't drop Mark Andrews in your fantasy football league.

You drafted him as a starting tight end. You can't give up now.

There's not any give up from The Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer, who has Andrews ranked as his No. 7 tight end for Week 2.

Andrews has such a proven track record of production that cutting him is just asking for trouble.

It could be fun to pick up someone trendy like Juwan Johnson or Harold Fannin Jr., but to drop Andrews? That's way too risky. Johnson has a proven track record of doing much less than he did in Week 1, and the rookie Fannin has no track record.

If you want to drop someone else to get a second TE in case Andrews stays cold, that's fine. But don't go dropping Andrews.
