The Ukraine international could face a four year ban if found guilty, but since being charged updates on his case have been few and far between.
Chelsea have signed two left wingers in Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens in the absence of Mudryk, and it’s unclear when there’s going to be an out come to the case.
Mudryk is currently banned from Chelsea’s Cobham training base, but the club are believed to have provided him with a programme to keep fit.
Stem cell injection the reason for failed test?
However, Burbas as reported by X account @scout_eurasia has provided a theory as to how Mudryk could have tested positive.
“According to Burbas, during the national team training camp, Mudryk was experiencing discomfort that prevented him from playing at full capacity.

“To aid his recovery, he received a stem cell injection designed to promote tissue regeneration. It is reported that the stem cells were derived from a cow that may have been exposed to meldonium – a banned substance that was later detected in Mudryk’s sample.
“The injection was administered by Igor Porobiya, the physiotherapist of the Ukrainian national team.
“The source emphasises that this procedure stands out as the only unusual event in everything that has happened with Mudryk over the past year and a half.”
