Real Madrid star expected to miss 3 months with injury

An insight into the extent of the spell on the sidelines awaiting Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has been forthcoming online.

And the news is far from encouraging for club and player alike.

The name of defender Rüdiger of course took its place centre stage in the headlines in Spain on Friday evening.

This came after word was forthcoming that the former Chelsea man had picked up an injury.

As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Following tests conducted on Toni Rüdiger by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his left leg. Awaiting further development.’

Not detailed in Los Blancos’ medical report was just how long Rüdiger is likely to be out of action.

As alluded to above, though, an insight into precisely as much has since been provided.

As per a report from Real Madrid insider Arancha Rodríguez, the German international is in line for a spell of around three months on the treatment table.
