Phillies All-Star receives bad predictions for postseason

The Philadelphia Phillies are currently pacing the National League East like nobody's business, ahead of the New York Mets by a staggering 11 games at the time this article is published.

Kyle Schwarber has been launching "Schwarbombs" into the bleachers left and right, and Bryce Harper has been, well, Bryce Harper.

And with their inevitable postseason run fast approaching, their 53-man roster will shrink to a 26-man roster, and that could spell bad news for one bullpen arm for the team.

Jordan Romano Expected To Miss Philadelphia's Postseason Roster

Relief pitcher Jordan Romano, a former two-time All-Star with the Toronto Blue Jays who signed a one-year, $8.5 million contract with the team in December, is projected by Chris Landers of FanSided to be cut from the playoff roster.

"With Jhoan Duran now in town and Daniel Robertson once again defying Father Time, the Philly bullpen is ... settled? Maybe? For the first time all season?" Landers wrote.

"And it's also one that will allow them to finally jettison Romano, whose penchant for implosions has left Rob Thomson pulling his hair out. That's the sort of thing that will not fly come playoff time, when one bad outing can end your season."

The projection isn't exactly an exaggeration, as Romano has a 2-4 record and an alarming 8.23 ERA through 49 games this year.
