After crucially finding the net in 1.FC Köln's 1-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim last night, much of the talk is about mercurial talent Said El Mala.
The likes of Brighton reportedly made an offer in the low single-digit millions for him in summer, but Köln are still in no rush to sell.
That decision to retain the 19-year-old now appears to be proving to be a stroke of luck for Lukas Kwasniok's promoted side.
The winger has been making a name for himself this season. impressing with his strong dribbling and explosiveness.
Kwasniok crowned him “a street footballer who has a God-given gift of pace and dribbling" after the match in Sinsheim to Sky Germany.
These skills will be enjoyed for a long time in the cathedral city, as El Mala's contract was extended long-term until 2030 in the summer.
Should the time come for him to leave, Effzeh will most likely be compensated with a hefty transfer fee for the talent.
