It’s time for the 2025 Emmy Awards! Are you ready to watch? Severance is set up to be the star of the show, with a whopping 27 nominations. The Penguin is somewhat close behind with 24, and The Studio nabbed 23 — tying The Bear’s record for most-nominated freshman comedy. There are lots of historic firsts amongst the nominees this year. Ayo Edebiri is the first Black woman to be nominated for acting and directing in a comedy in the same year, and is the youngest Black woman to receive three acting nominations at 29 years old. Sterling K. Brown has tied the record for most Emmy nominations by a Black male performer. Kathy Bates is the oldest actress to be nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. Bella Ramsey became the youngest two-time nominee for Lead Actress in a Drama at 21 years old — and is the first non-binary person to receive multiple acting nominations. Owen Cooper became the youngest nominee ever for Supporting Actor in a Limited Series at just 15 years old.
