Vikings-Steelers

Thomas Gable, sportsbook director at The Borgata: "Currently, Vikings are 2.5-point favorites. Total is down to 41, dropped a touch from 41.5. Not a ton written on this game yet, but what has been written is pretty balanced. After last week, there are some people who feel a little better backing the Vikings with their money. It’s always nice to get the very early kickoff time on Sunday morning."

Chargers-NY Giants

Gable: We opened Chargers -5.5, they took some early money and went to 6. When Jaxson Dart was announced as the starter, we went to -6.5. Giants fans are finally getting what they wished for here, but starting a rookie Week 4 is what the fan base wants. Mostly Chargers money so far, I’m sure we’ll get plenty of Giants backers due to the location. I don’t think this game will become too lopsided.

Joey Feazel, NFL trader at Caesars Sportsbook: I think NY Giants made it clear on Sunday night that they wanted to see Dart. Right now, we’re seeing mostly Chargers action come in. We have seen some sharper action on Giants week in and week out, but the defense is lacking in open-field tackles for QBs getting the ball out fast. This is a similar number to what Chiefs were laying. Total movement towards the under, from 45 to 44. Action is pretty split on the total.

Eagles-Bucs

Gable: "We opened Eagles -3, obviously coming off the most improbable cover that you’ll see this decade with how that game ended against the Rams. We’re up to -3.5, it’s been mostly early Eagles money. Injuries on both sides, Eagles secondary and linebacks could be out, and no Mike Evans. Secondary is definitely the weak link for them. Total sitting at 44, little bit more money on the over currently. We’re probably going to end up needing Tampa Bay in this one."

Feazel: "Both teams ended up weird games in Week 3. We opened this Eagles -3, seen kind of one-way action on the Eagles. First half of the Philly game last week was the sentiment that Eagles weren’t that great, but they proved that wrong. Put themselves in a position to win the game. I don’t think people have bought in on Baker Mayfield just yet. Seen a little more under money coming in early, opened 45, down to 44. Down to 43.5 briefly, but then bought back to 44."

Browns-Lions

Gable: "The Lions did get some respect after beating everyone’s No. 1 power-rated team (Baltimore) on Monday. There was doubt on Detroit heading into the season from wiseguys, fading the Lions in the futures market. No surprise, we're seeing one-way action on the Lions. We opened -8, now up to -9.5. I don’t expect to see much resistance here until 10."

Adrian Horton, senior director, North American sports trading, ESPN BET: "The Lions have also pushed out to double digits, now –10.5 against the Browns, and are the third-most bet spread by tickets and second most-bet by handle.”

Ethan Useloff, Fanatics Sportsbook trader: "Bettors expect Detroit to continue their scoring outburst against Cleveland, with most of the early money backing them."

Ravens-Chiefs

Feazel: "Kind of wild to think one of these teams will likely be 1-3 after this game. Ravens have been No. 1 in everyone’s power ratings, and for good reason. They just haven’t executed on defense like we expected them to. They have all the pieces on offense and on defense they have everything on defense. Chiefs can see week in and week out how much they miss Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice. Travis Kelce’s age has caught up with him. Action-wise, bettors are reacting to Chiefs’ offensive struggles. We opened -2.5, still -2.5. Not sure if this gets to 3, but this reflects the market sentiment on these teams."

Sharp action
