From the bookmakers

Vikings-Browns

Craig Mucklow, VP trading at Caesars Sportsbook: "When we did the schedule back in May, I made Vikings 5, 5.5 and we pushed that up to 7. I know we opened Vikings -4.5 on Sunday afternoon, but I think Vikings staying in Europe, there’s value on the 3.5. We’re always Browns fans. No real position on the side, people betting the under even at that lower total."

Thomas Gable, Borgata sportsbook director: "Extremely low total here, we opened 37.5 and now 36.5. All under money that we’ve seen, more money bet on this total than either side. We opened Browns -4.5, now -3.5, a little bit more money on the Browns. Cleveland has to travel, so Vikings have a slight advantage there."

Texans-Ravens

Gable: "We opened this Ravens -6.5, but it’s not just Lamar Jackson here. It’s a ton of people out on both sides of the ball. Now, Texans are -2, total down from 43.5 to 40.5. I don’t consider lookahead lines the opening number, but it’s moved tremendously if you take those into account."

Broncos-Eagles

Gable: "We opened Eagles -5.5 with the broader market, didn’t get much money on the Eagles even here. Down to -3.5, now we’re starting to see some Eagles money at 3.5. Total has dropped from 44.5 to 43.5. Knock on Eagles is we haven’t seen a complete game effort, despite them being 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS. I know the fans are getting a little restless, I think if the record wasn’t what it was there would be a little more negativity."

Patriots-Bills

Mucklow: "We’re going to need Bills by seven or less and under 49.5, and it’s a Sunday night game. We’re not going to want 50 or 60 points in this game."

Gable: "This is the second straight week we’ve seen Buffalo's opponent take money. Patriots opened +8.5, now +7.5. Bills money line is going to be super popular this week, with it being on Sunday Night Football."

Ethan Useloff, Fanatics Sportsbook trader: "For a spread that opened at 10 points, this game moved quickly down to Bills -8 and has since sat in this region. Buffalo is seeing an influx of money on its ML and to cover this spread, but moving towards New England is a result of their strong showing against Carolina. However, Bills ML is our second most popular parlay selection, and customers will be rooting hard for this to cash their parlays."

Sharp action

It's always notable where respected bettors have landed on this week's games. While these prices may not currently be available at all sportsbooks, knowing where sharps have wagered can also be instructive for in-game wagering.
