Didier Deschamps booed during France win

Didier Deschamps did not get a warm reception from the crowd at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night, ahead of France’s 2-1 win over Iceland.
Pre-match, the players names were read out one-by-one. All received cheers, however, the announcement of Deschamps’ name was then greeted with boos.
The fixture against Iceland was taking place in Paris Saint-Germain’s stadium, the Parc des Princes. The hostile reception comes just days after PSG duo Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué were injured during a 2-0 win over Ukraine.
Their injuries have incited the ire of PSG, who accuse Deschamps and the FFF more generally of not doing enough to protect the health of the players.
PSG went public in airing their criticism, however, Deschamps has defended his decision to play the pair, stating that there is “no such thing as no risk.” The president of the FFF, Philippe Diallo, has also defended the France manager in a private letter sent to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. That, however, did not spare Deschamps from boos on Tuesday night.
