Commanders' Jayden Daniels 'excited' for Lambeau Field debut

Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels has had a lot of firsts in his NFL career thus far, and against the Green Bay Packers to open week 2 of the season, he'll have another one.

Playing at Lambeau Field.

Often one of the most daunting tasks for opposing quarterbacks, Daniels will get to experience playing under lights at the historic stadium, and what makes it even better is that the Packers are genuine Super Bowl contenders.

So, this has playoff implications, too.

But how will Jayden approach playing on the hallowed turf of Lambeau Field?

“I don't really try to do anything in particular, but just be able to play a night game at Lambeau Field, growing up, you hear about the history of Green Bay and everything,” Daniels said. “So, I'm super excited to go in that stadium and be able to experience that.”

Commanders looking for playoff leg up vs. Packers

While it might be early in the season, the Commanders have a chance to get a leg up over the Packers when it comes to playoff seeding, in a similar way the Buffalo Bills did to the Baltimore Ravens.

There's no doubt that both Washington and Green Bay "should" be playoff-bound in 2025, and when it comes to these early-season games, it can often be the difference between that first playoff game being at home or on the road.

Plus, it is Washington's first real test of the season, having done just enough to get past the New York Giants in Week 1.

So, there will be a lot riding on this one, and while it is Jayden's first time experiencing Lambeau, and no, it won't be the "Frozen Tundra," but it will still be a formidable fortress to play in.

And Daniels can't wait.
