Chiefs' Travis Kelce offers NSFW response to Xavier Worthy injury

The Kansas City Chiefs' first game of the season got off to the worst possible start as just a handful of plays in, tight end Travis Kelce and receiver Xavier Worthy collided, and Worthy was ruled out of the game with a dislocated shoulder.

A big part of the Chiefs' game plan was now gone, and Kelce, who was supposed to help separate Worthy from his defender on the route he got injured on, got a little too close, and the two collided, and the rest is history.

With Worthy in serious doubt for Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs will have their work cut out for them offensively to put up points without Worthy on the field.

As for Kelce, when speaking on the New Heights podcast, he revealed his thoughts on the play that saw Xavier go down injured.

"I owe my guy big time, man," Kelce said. "X knows it. I felt like s**t. I could barely even (expletive) play the rest of that first half, but we geared it up once I found out that he was in better spirits than I imagined at halftime."

Kelce and offense must step up in Worthy's absence

With Worthy not practicing so far this week, there is a real chance No. 1 won't take to the field against the Eagles, and that means more of the offensive workload will be put onto others.

Kelce, along with Marquise Brown, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Noah Gray, will have to do their best to give Patrick Mahomes options in the passing game against the much-vaunted Philadelphia defense.

All pulled their weight in the second half in the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but now will likely be asked to do so from the first snap against the Eagles.

Kelce is hoping Worthy gets back as soon as possible, but Week 2 might be pushing it.
