Over the course of just three months last year, police reported 263 gang murders on South Africa’s Western Cape - 79 of those were children, killed by gunshot wounds or stabbings. Cape Town is one of the wealthiest cities in Africa but also one of the most unequal and divided. It has become South Africa's gang capital, with more than a hundred gangs fighting for control of the lucrative drugs trade.
