🚨 BREAKING: UEFA name venues for 2027 Champions League finals
Madrid’s Estadio Metropolitano has been chosen to host the 2027 UEFA Champions League final, following a decision by UEFA’s Executive Committee in Tirana, Albania.
The stadium, home of Atlético Madrid, will once again welcome Europe’s showpiece club football event, marking another major occasion for the Spanish capital.
The Estadio Metropolitano, which staged the 2019 Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, has quickly established itself as one of the continent’s premier venues, and preparations in Madrid will now begin for the logistical, security and commercial demands that accompany hosting such a prestigious event.
Alongside the announcement of the men’s final, UEFA also confirmed the venues for several other major competitions:
- 2027 Women’s Champions League final: National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland
- 2026 UEFA Super Cup: Salzburg, Austria
- 2026 UEFA Futsal Champions League final: Pesaro, Italy
- 2027 UEFA Futsal Under-19 EURO final: Astana, Kazakhstan
- 2027 Women’s Futsal EURO final: Osijek, Croatia
UEFA also used the meeting to approve a regulatory change allowing clubs in men’s competitions to temporarily replace a single outfield player during the league phase if the player suffers a long-term injury or illness, provided the switch is made before Matchday 6.
