Bayern Munich are not entertaining the reports of an exit clause in Harry Kane's contract and stressed that they are counting on the England striker in the future.
"The way he leads by example, the way he dedicates himself, that shows what great form he's in. Our hope is that we'll continue to be very successful with Harry in the future," board member for sport Max Eberl said in a news conference on Thursday.
Coach Vincent Kompany said that "the last thing I want to do is to open the door to a debate."
"I see that he still has the hunger to win trophies - and he can do that at Bayern. He's always been a goalscorer but I think he's opened up his game - the way he drops back between the lines... In the end, that allows him to escape him the attention of the defenders. And with that he's developing further, he's a leader in the team," he added.
Kane, who has a contract with Bayern until 2027, can become the fastest men's footballer to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe's top five leagues in the Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on Firday.
The current record is shared by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland. Ronaldo needed 105 matches to score 100 goals for his former club Real Madrid and Haaland equalled the mark for Manchester City.
Kane needs two goals against Bremen to reach 100 goals in 104 games and take the record. If he's not able to do it, he can still equal Ronaldo's and Haaland's mark against Pafos in the Champions League on September 30.
