Angel Reese Makes Feelings Clear About Chicago Sky Loss on Tuesday

It was another tough loss for the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night. The 81-79 defeat to the Washington Mystics dropped them to 5-13 on the season. Their last three losses have been by five points or fewer.

Despite the final score, the Sky had a real chance to win. The game was tied in the final minute, but Washington pulled ahead thanks to 15 points from center Shakira Austin.

Angel Reese continued her impressive form, posting her sixth straight double-double, which set a new WNBA record. She also grabbed 15 or more rebounds for the sixth game in a row, cementing her dominance on the boards.

After the game, Reese didn’t hold back her emotions about the loss and the adversity the team is facing.

“We have an opportunity in 24 hours to play this game again. It sucks right now especially when we feel we’re right there," she tweeted.

She remained optimistic and focused on the team’s quick turnaround:

“We have to continue to push through. We have to get back up tomorrow. I’m excited to go back home and be able to play again tomorrow.”

The Sky will return home to face the Dallas Wings, who have also struggled this season with just six wins in 20 games. Dallas and Los Angeles currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

Chicago is hopeful to get rookie center Kamilla Cardoso back in the lineup. Cardoso has missed the last four games while representing Brazil in the FIBA AmeriCup.

With four games left before the All-Star break, the Sky are desperate to regroup and find some momentum. They'll have to do it fast, starting with Wednesday’s home game.
