Major Erin Andrews Announcement Made Before NFL Training Camp

Many fans have been wondering what the future holds for popular NFL sportscaster Erin Andrews.

The 47-year-old reporter has spent the last 13 years working for Fox Sports, primarily as a sideline reporter during the NFL season for Fox’s lead broadcast and as a regular contributor for “Fox NFL Sunday.”

Andrews also works as a field reporter for the NFL Playoffs, the MLB All-Star Game, the World Series, and the Daytona 500, and she’s had a number of hosting duties for the network on past shows including “Fox College Football,” “Fox College Football Kickoff,” “Fox College Saturday,” and “Fox Football Daily.”

But Andrews’ contract with Fox Sports expired after Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9, and she’s spent the last three-plus months as a free agent — something she planned for heading into the 2024 NFL season, which she admitted could be her last with Fox.

“I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year — enjoy it, because it’s not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up — and mine is,” Andrews said on her “Calm Down” podcast back in September.

But those of her fans worried that Andrews might be leaving for a rival company should fret not as it was reported by Michael McCarthy and Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports that Andrews has agreed to a contract extension with Fox Sports.

“Andrews and Fox have agreed to a new deal, say sources,” McCarthy and Glasspiegel wrote. “For its part, Fox has acted like it’s business as usual. When the network announced its 2025 regular season game schedule in May, it posted a graphic on X/Twitter showing Andrews’ face, along with Tom Brady, Kevin Burkhardt, and Rinaldi.”

Keeping Andrews around is a big win for Fox, which has boasted the top Sunday NFL pregame show for over three decades.

With ESPN’s feverish interest in adding premier NFL sports media personalities—the network recently poached Peter Schrager from NFL Network and “Good Morning Football”—one would assume that Andrews would have been a prime addition for the company.
