The San Francisco 49ers have had enough and are reportedly waiving kicker Jake Moody, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

During the 49ers' 17-13 Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Moody missed a 27-yard field goal in the second quarter and later had a 36-yard attempt blocked. Both tries would have tied the game.

After both of Moody's failed attempts on Sunday, Fox Sports' Pam Oliver reported that players were "ticked off" and two helmets were thrown in frustration.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed confidence in Moody after the game saying there was "no question" about the kicker's place on the roster. But on Monday he changed his tune and opened the door for a replacement.
“We are looking into all that stuff now, there are options,” Shanahan told reporters. “Whether to stay at status quo, we could bring guys in for a workout, practice squad, but we are going through all that stuff right now.
“I just finished with the team and I know the personnel department is going to look into all that stuff and give us those options.”
One option is veteran Greg Joseph, who was with the 49ers in training camp. The 31-year-old has kicked for six NFL teams, including three last season in the Washington Commanders, New York Jets and New York Giants

Moody, a 2023 third-round pick out of Michigan, had a solid rookie season making 21 out of 24 field goals and was 60-for-61 on extra points. But his struggles date back to 2024 when he went 24-for-34 from field goal range, and made just 10 out of 20 field goals from at least 40 yards.
