WWE is officially set to take WrestleMania outside of North America for the first time.
The company announced Friday that WrestleMania 43 in 2027 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 43's departure from the U.S. marks the first time since 2002 — in Toronto, Ontario, Canada — that the annual event is hosted outside the country. WWE has held several significant events in Saudi Arabia in recent years, but never the company's staple annual spectacle. Before WrestleMania 43 touches down in April 2027, Saudi Arabia will also play host to the next Royal Rumble in January 2026.

WWE's parent company TKO Group Holdings has been no stranger to the Middle East, having struck a partnership that dates back to 2018. The first event WWE held in the country was the one-off "Greatest Royal Rumble," which saw Braun Strowman win in an essentially meaningless showcase version of the famous gimmick match. In total, WWE has held 13 events in Saudi Arabia.
Also, under the TKO is the premier MMA promotion UFC, which has also entered into the mix with Saudi Arabia events.
It was announced earlier in the year that next year's WrestleMania 42 will once again take place in Las Vegas after the success of WrestleMania 41 this past April in Allegiant Stadium. New Orleans' Mercedes-Benz Superdome was initially slated as the event's venue. Plans have since shifted to New Orleans as the host location for Money In the Bank 2026, with an eventual WrestleMania date still promised.

Indianapolis, Indiana's Lucas Oil Stadium, also has a future WrestleMania headed its way. The city hosted this year's Royal Rumble and will see WWE return for Wrestlepalooza next weekend. A future SummerSlam has also been promised to Indianapolis.
