Since Marc-André ter Stegen's recent injury, Manuel Neuer has been repeatedly linked with a return to the German national team (DFB). "I have definitely decided not to play for the national team anymore," Manuel Neuer declared after Bayern's 5:0 home win against HSV in front of the 'Sky' microphones.

It couldn't be clearer: Germany's record national goalkeeper (124 appearances) will not return to the DFB goal after his retirement following the 2024 Home European Championship. At least we can continue to enjoy his world-class performances in the Bayern goal.
