Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Let’s start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.
- Live PFL Dubai highlights, streaming results | Nurmagomedov vs. Hughes 2: 50-45 Nurmagomedov might just be the worst scorecard of 2025. Great fight though!
- Death of Jon Jones’ brother, Super Bowl champion Arthur Jones, rocks NFL, UFC communities: My condolences to the Jones family. 39 is much too young.
- UFC 320 preview, ‘Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2’ main card predictions: Regarding UFC 320 as a whole, I’m most curious to see Cory Sandhagen’s game plan, whether Alex Pereira can let his hands go, and classic Jiri Prochazka chaos (for better or worse).
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev are not accustomed to seeing their teammates lose often.
A story in two parts.
Every clip I’ve seen of Ryan Bader in The Smashing Machine still just looks like Ryan Bader to me. Likely, that’s a consequence of watching his season of TUF a bunch of times when I was 14. I had the dvd!
I chuckled at this one.
For Josh Emmett, the hay is certainly in the barn.
I think we should pit more BKFC fighters opposite brain teasers and riddles.
Slips, rips, and KO clips
The heel to the liver connection is a miserable experience.
The moments immediately after a failed takedown or clinch are one of the best times to punch.
Hide any young children and shield your eyes from the raw brutality of this KO clip.
This is not the first bike trick in this column’s history, but it’s my favorite.
