Como talent Nico Paz has been named Serie A Rising Star for August 2025 after a goal and assist in two games so far this season.

This was an additional gift for the player, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Monday.

He made an immediate impact in the 2-0 victory over Lazio, scoring with a perfect free kick, and also providing the assist for teammate Anastasios Douvikas.

He will receive the award ahead of the next match between Como and Genoa at the Stadio Sinigaglia on Monday.

The Argentina international was signed from Real Madrid, who retain a buy-back clause worth up to €11m and is valid until 2027.
