Following the latest release of the Rivals300 rankings and a commitment-filled summer, the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings have updated. A number of programs saw big movement for their commits, which has in turn upended the team rankings as well.
After the update, which has held the No. 1 class for the past few months, USC still sits atop the rankings with Georgia, Notre Dame and Oregon right on their heels. And there’s been no shortage of movement behind them either.
The Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Ranking is the most advanced, complete and unbiased ranking measurement in the industry, yet its simplicity makes it easy for fans to follow and understand. It utilizes all three major recruiting media companies: Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. This ranking also solves the problem of varying class sizes during the recruiting cycle. It compiles the highest-rated commits for each team up to a total based on a rolling average of current total commitments among Power 5 schools.
Below are the top 25 classes in the nation, as of Sept. 15:
1. USC — 93.222
32 total commits
2 five-stars | 20 four-stars | 10 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star TE Mark Bowman, No. 16 NATL. (No. 1 TE)
Lincoln Riley and the Trojans have just about filled out their entire 2026 class already, grabbing 32 commitments. Bowman and fellow five-star Keenyi Pepe lead the way, and they’re flanked by a host of other top-100 prospects in Elbert Hill, Luke Wafle, Boobie Feaster, Jaimeon Winfield, Simote Katoanga, Talanoa Ili and Brandon Lockhart. If they can hold onto this group through flip season, they have a real chance to secure the No. 1 class for the first time in two decades.
2. Georgia — 93.05
31 total commits
2 five-star | 22 four-stars | 7 three-stars
Top Commit: Five-Star Plus+ QB Jared Curtis, No. 4 NATL. (No. 1 QB)
The Bulldogs sit just behind USC for the top overall class, trailing by less than two-tenths of a point. Curtis is the headliner of the group and off to a stellar start during his senior season. Tight end Kaiden Prothro is the other five-star in the class for Kirby Smart and Co., but the Bulldogs seven top-100 commitments in total.
3. Notre Dame — 92.666
27 total commits
2 five-stars | 18 four-stars | 7 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star EDGE Rodney Dunham, No. 13 NATL. (No. 2 EDGE)
The Fighting Irish are in position to land their highest-rated class in more than a decade, and it’s led by a pair of five-stars: Dunham and safety Joey O’Brien. Marcus Freeman and Co. have been on a tear since the beginning of the cycle and look to have pretty much sewn up this group.
4. Oregon — 92.600
17 total commits
4 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 2 four-stars
Top Commit: 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, No. 6 NATL. (No. 2 OT)
Dan Lanning and the Ducks suffered through some tough early losses on the trail this cycle, but have still put together pound-for-pound one of the best classes in the country. Buoyed by four five-stars — tied for the most of any school with Alabama — they hold the country’s highest average rating per commitment.
5. Texas – 92.485
21 total commits
3 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 7 four-stars
Top Commit: QB Dia Bell, No. 5 NATL. (No. 2 QB)
At this point two months ago, the Longhorns were barely inside the top-15 of the team recruiting rankings. But July was very kind to them, netting five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, elite running back Derrek Cooper, and Rivals five-star defensive lineman James Johnson, among others. They now sit less than a full point back of USC, but will have to fend off a number of schools looking to poach their top commits.
6. Texas A&M — 92.398
27 total commits
1 five-star | 20 four-stars | 6 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star CB Brandon Arrington, No. 13 NATL. (No. 1 CB)
Mike Elko and the A&M staff have gone all over the country for their recruiting wins this cycle, including pulling Arrington out of California and away from both USC and Oregon. The Aggies also have two of the best players in talent-rich Georgia, as four-stars Bryce Perry-Wright and Tristian Givens headline one of the best defensive classes in the country.
7. Alabama — 92.267
21 total commits
4 five-stars | 9 four-stars | 8 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star SAF Jireh Edwards, No. 17 NATL. (No. 1 SAF)
A lot of teams had success on the trail this summer — but nobody has landed elite prospects at quite the clip we’ve seen from Kalen DeBoer and his staff. In total, the Tide have four five-stars, tied for the most of any program nationally. And they’ve done all of this with only five of their commitments coming from their home state. The two headliners of the group, Jireh Edwards and Xavier Griffin, hail from Maryland and Georgia, respectively.
8. Tennessee – 91.760
24 total commits
2 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 10 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Tristen Keys, No. 7 NATL. (No. 1 WR)
Coming into the fall, the Vols had put together a strong class that hovered among the top 10-15 nationally, but they had a few key flip targets still out there. The Flipmas presents came early this year, as Josh Heupel and Co. have gone a spree of poaching other teams top commits. That includes Keys (LSU), EDGE Hezekiah Harris (Auburn), and OT Kamari Blair (South Carolina), and they’re still working for more.
9. Ohio State — 91.698
21 total commits
1 five-star | 13 four-stars | 7 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr., No. 19 NATL. (No. 2 WR)
The Buckeyes haven’t landed quite the level of elite prospects we’re used to seeing yet in this class, and they’re still within striking distance of another top-5 class. Henry is the lone five-star in the group, but four-stars Blaine Bradford and Cincere Johnson are top-75 prospects nationally. Offensive tackle Sam Greer could be in line for a huge rankings jump in the coming months, as Rivals currently pegs him as the country’s No. 17 overall prospect. If other services catch up with that, he could challenge for five-star status.
10. Michigan — 91.598
23 total commits
2 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 9 three-stars
Top Commit: 5-star RB Savion Hiter, No. 8 NATL. (No. 1 RB)
Michigan came into the summer recruiting months in a bit of a lull, but they scored a ton of commitment between June and mid-August. At that point, they had largely filled out their class but still had a major target remaining uncommitted in Hiter. On August 19, he chose the Maize & Blue over Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio State to give the Wolverines another signature win this cycle.
