Manchester United face Brentford test without Casemiro
Manchester United travel to London on Saturday lunchtime to face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, but they will be without some key players. Casemiro is suspended following his dismissal against Chelsea last weekend and his absence leaves a significant gap in midfield. Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo are the leading contenders to step in for the Brazilian.
Amad Diallo absence adds to United concerns
United’s attacking options are also reduced as Amad Diallo has been granted compassionate leave following a family bereavement.“Amad is not here,” head coach Amorim told reporters on Friday. “Someone in his family passed away, so we are giving all the support to Amad. We understood that it was important for him to have his time and to return home.”

Amorim added: “We can win without Amad and we want to win also for Amad.”
Amad’s likely replacement is summer signing Matheus Cunha, who made his return from a hamstring problem with a substitute appearance in the victory over Chelsea.
Defensive worries continue for Amorim
Noussair Mazraoui will not feature for Manchester United until after the October international break due to a knock, which also rules him out of next weekend’s clash with Sunderland. Lisandro Martinez is still recovering from a long-term knee issue and is yet to be considered for selection.
There was, however, a lift at Carrington when full-back Diogo Dalot resumed training after overcoming a muscle problem sustained with Portugal’s Under-21s. Amorim confirmed: “Licha (Martinez) is out, Casemiro is out because of the red card. (Mazraoui) is not going to be (available) until we stop for the national team, so he’s out also. The rest are fit and ready to play.”
Predicted line-up against Brentford
After the much-needed win over Chelsea, Amorim will want stability, though Dalot could come straight back into the starting XI.
Predicted Manchester United XI (3-4-2-1): Bayindir, De Ligt, Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu, Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko.
