It's time for a new edition of the U20 World Cup, with the final stage set to take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19, 2025.

Africa will be pinning its hopes on its four other representatives (Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, and Nigeria) to claim a second title in the tournament.

We are expecting fierce competition for the prestigious Best Player of the Tournament award (Golden Ball).

In the past, three African players have claimed this individual accolade: Mali's Seydou Keita in 1999, Adama Traoré in 2015, and Ghana's Dominic Adiyiah in 2009. Below is the list of best players since 1977:
