The livestream will feature messages from WhatsApp groups in kibbutzim along the Gaza border communities, emergency standby squads, families from the Negev, and relatives from Israel and abroad.

On the second anniversary ofOctober 7, the 710 Memorial nonprofit will broadcast a livestream of WhatsApp messages sent during the massacre, beginning at 6:29 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.

The livestream will feature messages from WhatsApp groups in kibbutzim along the Gaza border communities, emergency standby squads, families from the Negev, and relatives from across Israel and abroad.

The messages will be sent at the exact times they were two years earlier, allowing viewers to experience the confusion and fear felt at that time, 710 Memorial explained.

The livestream will be hosted on a dedicated website and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.

What is the 710 Memorial non-profit?

710 Memorial was founded at the initiative of Yaniv Hegyi, a member of Kibbutz Be’eri, with the assistance of residents from the Gaza border communities, to document the events of the day and prevent them from being forgotten.

The nonprofit is committed to “giving a voice and power back to those who experienced the events, ethics, and maintaining privacy,” according to its website.

Over a million messages, videos, and photographs have been collected and archived by the nonprofit since its founding.
