Stocks Trim Gains as Market Breadth Deteriorates
Suddenly, the stock market has a case of bad breadth.
Though the S&P 500 was still rising, the market trimmed its gains heading into the afternoon as health care stocks lagged behind.
The Dow was up 150 points, or 0.4%, after rising about 400 points earlier in the morning. The S&P 500 was up 0.9%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 1.8% after rising more than 2.5%.
