After Tammy Abraham was sold to Besiktas, now Roma are on the verge of handing Eldor Shomurodov to Istanbul Basaksehir.
According to Turkish site Ajansspor and Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the negotiations are already at a very advanced stage and down to the details.
It is going to be a loan with option to buy that can become an obligation if the right conditions are met.
Shomurodov a reliable squad player at Roma

This likely move comes after Shomurodov helped Uzbekistan qualify for the 2026 World Cup, their first ever participation in the tournament.
He just turned 30 last week and had also been linked with Cremonese and Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes.
Roma purchased Shomurodov from Genoa in 2021 for €19.6m plus a 10 per cent cut of the future transfer fee.
He also had loan spells at Spezia and Cagliari, but last season made himself very useful with seven goals and five assists in 37 competitive appearances for Roma.
Negotiations have been going on for several weeks with La Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting the price tag was at least €8m.
