Portland Sea Dogs outfielder Allan Castro was named the Eastern League Player of the Week on Monday.
Castro played in six games last week, hitting .500 (12 for 24), with three doubles, a triple, a home run, six RBI and five runs scored. Portland went 2-4 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats last week.
The 22-year-old is hitting .301 with eight doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI.
Castro is the second Sea Dogs player to earn player of the week honors this season, joining Blaze Jordan (May 19-25).
